Contract Management Officer
Our Transport team is expanding! Are you experienced in dealing with managing contracts and passionate about delivering efficient public services? If so we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Contract Management Officer and help shape the future of Transport Services in Lincolnshire.
About the role
The team you will be joining is responsible for engaging with Transport Operators to ensure compliant contract management. You'll provide expert procurement advice to manage key contracts, such as Home to School Transport. You will focus on complex data management, health and safety, payment systems, and ensure services are both cost-effective and fit for purpose.
Additionally, you will support the Head of Transport and key stakeholders by developing innovative financial and legal solutions to address the challenges faced by the Council. You will also lead the growth and development of Lincolnshire’s commercial transport operator market while overseeing data systems to monitor, present, and record procurement and contract management decisions.
About you
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate hands-on experience of contract management and procurement, in a performance led environment. You will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels across various sectors. You will demonstrate experience of facilitation and working with contractors to manage effective relationships working as part of a team or independently with an eye for detail. A self-starter with a "can do" solution focussed approach you will demonstrate excellent commercial awareness ideally with a sound understanding of procurement processes and law. You are a confident negotiator with relevant contract management experience to challenge on behalf of Lincolnshire and our communities.

We operate a hybrid approach to working, which is a mix of remote and office working. You’ll also need to be mobile in your role so a valid UK driving License and access to a vehicle is essential.
