About the Role

In this role you will be working with a range of professionals from health, education, charities, social enterprises, and private companies to improve the lives of local children and young people.

As a local authority, operating in a political environment, we must meet our statutory obligations. This includes supporting and safeguarding our most vulnerable children and young people. Commissioning is an important part of how we do that. We analyse the needs of our children and young people. We put plans in place to meet those needs. We monitor service performance. Through the commissioning cycle we support the continual development of new services and ongoing improvement.

We are looking to recruit a full time Commissioning Officer to fill a vacancy within the team. You can be part of Children’s Services in Lincolnshire, which is rated outstanding by Ofsted.

Services we commission include prevention and early help services, support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, mental health services, and services for children in care and leaving care.

This is a fixed term opportunity until December 2026.

We will accept applications for secondments from internal applicants. If employees wish to apply for a secondment, they will need their manager's approval.

There will be some requirement for travel to provider settings so transport is required for this role.
