Clerk to Governors

We are looking to appoint a knowledgeable Clerk to Governors to advise our Governing Body and School Trusts on governance, constitutional and procedural matters. The successful candidate will also be responsible for all administration in relation to the Governing Body and trusts including the preparation, typing and distribution of agendas and associated paperwork; accurate taking of and typing of minutes at all Governor and Trust meetings as well as any working parties. Knowledge of how schools and their governing bodies operate is essential and previous experience of similar work would be advantageous. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an excellent Clerk to support our Governing Body on compliance, for the strategic management and development of our school.
The School’s Governing Body meets 9 times per year, in the evening within the academic year, and the successful candidate would also be expected to work in school for approximately 3.5 hours each week. The school year totals 39 weeks.
