Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer (RFO)
Bardney Group Parish Council has a vacancy for a Clerk/RFO. This role is office-based at Bardney Group Parish Council. The Parish Council's responsibilities include cemetery management, allotments, grass cutting, and village maintenance.
The role requires the ability to set agendas for full council and sub-committees and attend all appropriate council meetings. You will need to have good communication/people skills, excellent written and verbal skills, and a good knowledge of bookkeeping and budget planning, ability to meet deadlines, good organisational skills, and proficiency with IT including website updates. You should be able to demonstrate knowledge of local government procedures, finance, and law and have the willingness to attend relevant LALC clerk training courses as required by the council and/or seminars on the work role of the clerk. You will be required to also attend additional evening or daytime meetings and be willing to undertake any other duties as they may be reasonably required from time to time.
Salary: Salary scale dependent on experience and in accordance with NJC National pay scales. In the range £14.60-£19.86 per hour.
Hours: 20 hours per week
