Actual salary: £3,109 - £3,299 (276 hours per annum) or can be split to 2 clerks at £1,554 - £1,649 (138 hours per annum) each.

Grade G4, SCP 9 – 12 (dependent upon experience), FTE £19,171 - £20,344 (pro rata)

The board of Trustees wishes to appoint a well organised, reliable and enthusiastic Clerk (or Clerks) from 01 October 2019 to join our dedicated, friendly and supportive team to provide governance support to the Trust and 3 of its Academies, all based in or around Boston.

Duties include attending at least 5 Academy Trust meetings and 18 Academy Development Committee meetings during the academic year (6 per Academy), regular liaison with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chair of the Trust, Headteachers and Chair of Academy Development Committees, preparation of agendas, taking and distribution of minutes and training/networking. These roles can be split to 2 Academy Development Committees/1 Academy Development Committee plus the Trust Board or may suit one person as all meetings will be coordinated. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided if required.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be confident, motivated, reliable, efficient and able to observe confidentiality requirements
  • Be able to take accurate minutes from own notes to produce well-presented minutes for distribution
  • Be available to take minutes at all meetings throughout the year.  Meetings are usually held in the evenings (6-8pm)
  • Be able to prioritise and work to an agreed schedule throughout the academic year
  • Be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, email and the internet (access to the internet is essential).
