We’re seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and resourceful individual to step into the role of Caretaker. Be part of our dedicated team, ensuring the seamless operation of our Archives site and contributing to the protection of Lincolnshire’s rich heritage.
About the role
As our Caretaker, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the unlocking/locking of the site
- Supervision of contractors carrying out maintenance and repairs
- Health and Safety building checks
- Basic minor repairs
- Participate in the out of hours call out procedure
About you
This is a unique site with a varied and interesting role that would ideally suit someone who is adaptable, creative, and eager to take on new challenges. The Caretaker has the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, requiring a mix of problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration, making it perfect for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced setting.
You will have previous experience of working within a building maintenance role, or similar, and be able to work flexibly on using your own initiative.
As Caretaker you may be expected to travel to other cultural sites, therefore a driving licence is desirable.
