About you

  • You will have previous experience in counter fraud or be able to demonstrate transferable skills from a similar background.
  • Have a genuine interest in local government and a passion for supporting organisations achieve their plans and priorities.
  • Be highly motivated and enjoy continuous self-development and learning.
  • Have a strong ethical mindset and commitment to the Public Sector Fraud Authority Standards.
  • Possess strong communication and report writing skills, able to write professional evidence-based audit reports.
  • Be able to display professional courage in communicating assignment results to senior stakeholders.

About the team

As a service we have an excellent reputation and a forward-thinking approach. We are crucial in ensuring that governance, risk management, and control frameworks are robust and effective, and we play our part in supporting service areas to drive continuous improvement.

Our client base includes county, district and borough councils, providing a wide range of auditing opportunities across all council services. 

Your role in the team, will be to support the councils achieve their goals, through independent and objective assessment and reporting of risks, controls and governance. You will be supported by a principal auditor and team manager to ensure timely accurate value adding counter fraud review outcomes are achieved. 

About the role

You will have the opportunity to undertake a wide variety of counter fraud reviews, fraud risk assessments to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes. In undertaking individual counter fraud assignments, you will directly contribute towards the overall delivery of the counter fraud plan

You will embrace the opportunity to manage and deliver counter fraud assignments from the annual counter fraud plans. Ensuring compliance with counter fraud standards and process, to deliver control management on areas of risk across the organisations.  

As you will be expected to work across our Lincolnshire based clients, a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
