Hillcrest Early Years Academy are looking to recruit an inspirational and aspirational Assistant Headteacher to lead Safeguarding and Inclusion at our welcoming and highly inclusive Infant Academy. The successful candidate will help us to continue to develop our already established SEN, safeguarding and pastoral support programmes and will liaise closely with the headteacher, promoting achievement for all our pupils. The Assistant Headteacher will be a part of the Senior Leadership Team.

  • An outstanding and inspirational teacher who has a proven track record of high standards in their own teaching and providing high quality learning experiences for all children, especially for children with additional needs;
  • An up-to-date practitioner with relevant experience of the primary phase and curriculum and a creative approach to learning;
  • A well-organised professional with excellent inter-personal and communication skills;
  • Someone who is determined, resilient and would work well with our established team;
  • Someone who has, or is interested in working towards the SENCO qualification.
  • Someone who has experience of forming established relationships with pupils, staff, families and external partners in a safeguarding capacity.
