Assistant Development Management Officer

Lincolnshire County Council's Development Management Team takes a lead role in influencing and delivering places where people want to live and work across the county.

Due to the teams success and internal progression, we are now looking to welcome an Assistant Development Management Officer to the team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in our multi-disciplined team, to help us in; project managing and delivering developer led and highway improvement schemes.

About The Role

This post is critical, acting as both Highway Authority and Lead Local Flood Authority, and post holders will contribute to a conscientious culture of proactive, future-focused service delivery.

There is a varied and challenging workload on offer, which includes

  • Assisting in the assessment and checking of APC and S38's (Highways Act 1980) and S278 (Highways Act 1980) Agreements with developers;
  • On-site checks of adoption drawings and legal notices
  • Processing of sites resulting in adoption as public highway, along with notifying District Councils and developers
  • Carrying out technical support work for the Development Management team, including maintaining records and registers as required

We provide a 16 week induction programme working alongside our existing officers, and a buddy system to enable 1:1 support.

About You

We are looking for an organised, reliable and enthusiastic person to provide technical assistance and support to a busy dynamic team. To do this a combination of technical knowledge and good communication skills will be required, experience in the highway sector would be an advantage.

We are looking for individuals to complement our conscientious and personable team, who provide each other with regular assistance and support.

Please note this role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area and therefore a valid driving licence and use of a car is required.
