Apprentice Design Technician
There are currently three vacancies of an Apprentice Design Technician position, which are critical in supporting all teams in the delivery of the Operational Asset Management services. We are currently looking to recruit a number of highly motivated individuals have a desire to gain the skills, experience and knowledge to assist in the delivery of a wide range of Highway Maintenance services.
You will be required to work in a number of offices across Lincolnshire and will assist the multi-functional teams in the delivery of carriageway patching works, surfacing works, footway works, drainage works, cyclic maintenance, traffic regulation orders, surface treatments and cyclical maintenance works across the County. This will involve site surveys, design works, producing works order packs for contractors, site supervision and audits, updating inventory data, engagement with members of the public and dealing with transactions and complaints.
Whilst working within a variety of teams, you will be given the best opportunity to learn from these experiences. A full training and development package will be made available to each individual to ensure candidates are able to attain their full potential within the organisation.
The successful candidates will be required to undertake a day release college course to achieve a Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment Level 3. You will require a minimum of 4 GCSE Grade C or equivalent or above, to include Mathematics, English and a Science or a Level 2 in Construction alongside a GCSE Grace C or equivalent in Mathematics and English or an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade area. Other qualifications may be considered on an individual basis.
