About the Role

As a Senior HR Advisor you will join a team of supportive and skilled HR professionals delivering HR Advisory services across Lincolnshire County Council.  This is an integral role within our HR family, working in partnership with managers across the organisation and HR colleagues.

You’ll manage a complex Employee Relations caseload and provide a generic and agile HR Advisory service to a diverse range of service areas. Although this will be your ‘day-to-day’ role, you’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in key projects, working with colleagues across the Council, developing skills whilst working to deliver our People Strategy.  What could be better?

The role enjoys hybrid working with a Lincoln work base and ability to travel across the county when needed.

 About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Be an experienced HR professional qualified or in your final year CIPD level 7 with a minimum of Associate CIPD status
  • Be highly knowledgeable in the areas of employment law, employee relations and working with Trade Unions,
  • Have a proven track record in providing professional HR Advice on employment relations issues including grievance, discipline, sickness absence, capability and managing change in a large, complex and diverse organisation
  • Be an effective communicator, with an ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a range of people.
  • Display and role model the right behaviours.

Ideally this role is 37 hours per week, although we will consider a minimum of 30 hours over 4 days.

You will be given a nominated contractual work base and you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  Working arrangements regarding hybrid working will be discussed as part of the appointment process.
