Wanted a Part-time Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Required from May until July 2021
Scale G3.06-3.09. £18,812-19,948 (pro rata) 20 hours pw – 5 mornings per week plus afternoon hours by arrangement.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and highly motivated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join us for the summer term. Specifically the role is working with a Y6 age pupil with complex needs and a specific Education, Health and Care Plan. This post is pivotal to its consistent and effective implementation.
You will be responsible for supporting learning on a day-to-day basis, implementing specific interventions, promoting social integration, as well as supporting their emotional well-being. Working as part of a team of responsible adults and reporting to parents and the child’s class teacher, under the supervision of the school’s special needs coordinator.
The confidence to work flexibly and the ability to build and sustain effective relationships with the pupil and their family, are also essential. A knowledge and understanding of Autism would be of an advantage in fulfilling this role and the opportunity for additional training will also be provided.
